This is a late war Winchester which is correct with all original parts as far as we can determine. Winchester barrel with a muzzle gauged at 1. Rifle was apparently processed through the Letterkenny Arsenal in 1965 where the oprod received the relief cut to prevent it from cracking. Stock has normal handling dings and the original Winchester cartouches are still present
Part of a small collection just purchased from an older Vietnam era USMC veteran. These rifles have been in his possession for decades and are probably NRA or DCM sales guns. We have not seen collectible rifles in this condition for a long time. These are the type of rifles that should NOT be reconditioned!
