The SAR (Short Automatic Rifle) is the most desirable of the Galil variants. We received a few parts kits for these and have built them up as rifles. In contrast to the standard issue ARM, the SAR variant had a 5" shorter barrel, the gas tube and piston cut down by about 1", typically no bipod, and was issued to both vehicle crews, and Israeli Sayeret of the IDF. 5.56x45mm. We have added a long suppressor that is pin and welded to allow for the legal length barrel to be over 16”. These shorter Galils were never made in any quantity and availability of these kits in the future is doubtful.
