This is a very nice example of the 1917 made at Eddystone Arsenal. The condition of this rifle is such that it should not be restored. Original October 1918 barrel which gauges 1 at the muzzle. Bore is sharp and shiny. The stock has a few minor bings and dents with a Raritan arsenal inspection stamp. Metal has 90+% of original finish. We test fired the rifle. An original M1907 leather sling with steel fittings (WWII era) was on the rifle and we left it there.
