This is a typical London 1850s production double barreled 12 gauge shotgun. Percussion ignition black powder only. The original finish has long ago turned a brown grey patina. Very minor pitting on the breach area. Both locks are functioning and it has two triggers. In its day it was a top of the line shotgun with a Damascus steel barrel.
For anyone interested in historical interpretation, this is typical of what Southern troops were armed with especially the cavalry early in the Civil War.
We have not test fired this shotgun and cannot recommend this for live firing
