This is a JRA reproduction of the South Carolina Palmetto musket. The musket has brass bands and is correctly marked faithful to the original. South Carolina state armory built only a few thousand of these muskets in the 1850s and when the Civil War started they were virtually all issued to the State Militia. Very few examples survived the war and as such are highly desirable, rare and expensive musket. 69 caliber smoothbore this model is N-SSA approved.
