147 code 1938 dated German K98. This rifle is restored to the original WWII appearance. The rifle came to us as a partially sporterized model typical of a vet bring back. Matching parts throughout we had to local a replacement stock and matching bands. Bore is sharp and shiny especially for a rifle that would have seen use throughout the entire war. Good headspace we have test fired this rifle. Code and date were stamped lightly on the receiver which is typical of Sauer and Sohn.
