This is a restored original model 1861 Springfield dated 1862. All parts have been repolished and the stock has been refinished. Hoyt 3 groove 1-72 progressive depth liner in the original barrel. There is some minor pitting on the breach area and the lock plate. This is an outstanding example of the main issued musket during the Civil War. Musket now looks like it did in the 1860s!
