This is a restored original percussion conversion model 1816. Somehow this musket survived multiple conflicts and years in service in remarkably good shape. This is a smoothbore musket, 69 caliber. The bore is decent for its age with only some minor pitting. We have test fired this musket. Original early 1816s are incredibly rare, as they were basically “used up” in service.
