This is a Richmond Razeed carbine built from an original model 1861 Springfield. The Razeed carbine was built by the South from captured muskets and was one of the principal arms of the Confederate cavalry. This carbine has a 1-56 7 groove Hoyt liner and is incredibly accurate. The Barrel has an uncontoured Richmond pinched front sight machined into a dovetail. N-SSA approved it is very popular for the carbine match.
