This is a restored original model 1861 from one of the rarer contractors. There is some 1862 dated musket is the beginning of their production and is not often seen. Most 1862 dated muskets went immediately into front line service and when found are often relics. This model has a Hoyt 3 groove progressive depth .577 liner and is an outstanding shooter. All of the metal has been repolished and the stock refinished.
