This is a restored original 1862 dated Springfield. There is light pitting on the barrel along the wood line. There is also a few pitts at the muzzle in front of the sight. The bore is original and has some minor pitting and scratches but is fully functional. We have fired 10 rounds through this musket. It is a great example of the model 1861 and definitely shows signs of having been issued.
