This is a restored original Model1816 H&P percussion conversion. This rare model is the most sought after smoothbore for N-SSA competition since it is the only US production model to have a rear sight. Musket was originally produced by Springfield in 1829 and the bolster shows the conversion was done in 1862. Barrel has a Hoyt smoothbore 69 caliber liner. All metal has been repolished and the wood has been properly refinished.
